In 2023 the Legacy Run/Walk raised 107k and saw 350 participants.
The PILSC Legacy Run/Walk started in 2022. This was the first in person and large scale fundraising event hosted by the Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support Centre. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, public health restrictions made it hard to host any in person fundraising events.
So when restrictions were taken away, PILSC took the opportunity to host an event that they had dreamed of for years prior. In its first year, the Legacy Run/Walk raised just over $90K and saw 200 participants.
In its second year, the event raised $107k with 350 participants. The response to the event has been so incredible and we expect to see the support of the event continue to grow.
All funds raised through this event go back to keeping PILSC community support programming to those navigating infertility, pregnancy and infant loss. PILSC is incredibly honoured to host this meaningful event while raising vital funds for the Centre.
